Fie -ee

Abby loves her pacifier. She would suck it all day long if I would let her. Right now, she only gets it when she goes down for a nap or at bed time. The other day, it fell out of her crib and she started saying fie-ee, kinda like firey without the r. It took me a while to figure out what she wanted. She started saying it louder and louder and then she grabbed my hand and pointed another one we had on her dresser. What finally got me was when she said fie-ee pweeeze.

She has also started asking for help, but it sounds more like 'out' when she says it. She wanted her blanky spread out on the floor. She handed it to me and said 'out'. I spread it out on the floor and one corner wasn't laying flat, so she grabbed the blanky and handed it to me to do again. She is going to be a little perfectionist. Help me now!! :D

I would have to say that "chooes" (shoes) is her favorite word, though. She will take her shoes off if she even sees shoes in the store. It doesn't matter what size or style or gender the shoes are. She wants to try them on. She will reach and grab some if I'm not paying attention. She loves to play with the plastic dress up shoes her her Papa's house. She will even play with her Daddy's shoes:
She has some terrible allergies right now. Her nose is runny and she is grumpier than normal. But, she has the same if not more energy, so I'm pretty sure her cold isn't that serious. LOL

Here is the dress that she is going to wear as the flower girl in Melissa's wedding in October. It is adorable without being to scary like a mini wedding dress. We plan to make the sash the same navy color as my dress (which won't arrive until August). The scary part about this dress is that it is a size 3T. Abby will be 20 months old in a few days; she's not even 2 yet and already wearing clothes designed for a 3 year old. She is definitely takes after her Daddy! Don't you just love her pose!

Well, I hope you all have a great 4th of July. This will be Abby's 2nd Fourth, hopefully, I'll be able to snap some photos of her this time!

Love ya,
Amanda :D

Making Cookies with DeeDee

On Friday, Grandma DeeDee and Abby make cookies. Abby loved trying to scoop out the dough. Of course, her Mama showed her how much fun it is to eat the dough. As you can see, she thoroughly enjoyed licking the spoon on the way to the cookie sheet. You can hear her actually mmmmmming as she eats the chocolate chip cookie dough. You'll never guess what Abby wanted to use to help make cookies. We made sure that she was the one that got that cookie! After eating the dough, she wasn't too interesting in eating the finished cookie. We gave her one, but when I turned around it was no longer in her hand. Gus or Shaylie gobbled it up quickly. There was no evidence, but both dogs looked guilty.

Look what Mommy found!

I was browsing my photo library and came across Abby baptism photos. Look how small she was. This was Dec 21st, 2008! She was just over one year old. That cute little dress she has one is a size 24 months from Carters. She has always been tall for her age. That she gets from her daddy. What I remember the most is that while she was sitting on my lap like above, she hit her lip on the pew in front of her and her lip started bleeding and she of course started screaming in the middle of the ceremony. That's my Abby. Has to make sure every one knows she is here! Her godparents are my cousin Kimberly and Mike's sister Sarah. We ran into a paper filing issue because at least one of the god parents also had to be confirmed. Only one of our choices met that criteria. ThankS Kimmie!
