Abby's Busy Thursday

Papa Ken and Mama took Abby to breakfast at Denny's. While we were waiting for her eggs to arrive, she was munching on some crackers. The way she says that is soo cute, kinda like ' ca ker' This was the 3rd or 4th one that she ate. Each time she made that sound, mmmmmm mmmmmm while she was chewing on them. She has always done that with food that she really likes: strawberries, Reddi-whip, ice cream, crackers, salsa, and sometimes cheerios.

After breakfast, we took Abby to Toys R US for the first time. I was worried she'd throw a fit at not being alllowed to have everything she saw. I was wrong. Her head about fell off because it kept going side to side in awe of everything she saw. She did fuss one time. Papa went in after some roller skates for her, but she was not interested one bit. If she liked something that we handed her, she would turn around and throw it in the cart. But, if she didn't like it, she would throw it to the ground. It was funny to watch her. If she really liked it, she would hold on to it in her lap. That's how she got Papa to buy her a new Minnie Mouse stuffed doll. She aslo got some pots and pans from Papa to go with the play kitchen that she does NOT have yet. (birthday coming soon!), and a Mrs. Potato Head from her Mama. She liked the pots and pans better than Mrs. Potato Head. She was so cute. She'd take the little spatula or laddle it came with and pretend to stir the pot and then taste it and go MMMMM. It almost made me want to go buy her that kitchen right then, but I didn't.

I can't get over at how much she is growing up. My mom called the other day and asked what the theme for her 2nd birthday party was going to be! In about 3 1/2 months, my baby will be two. :( Wow, how time flies. I am enjoying my time with her so much, I don't want her to grow up yet. The woes of every mom, I'm sure...

Love ya :D

Making Cookies with DeeDee

On Friday, Grandma DeeDee and Abby make cookies. Abby loved trying to scoop out the dough. Of course, her Mama showed her how much fun it is to eat the dough. As you can see, she thoroughly enjoyed licking the spoon on the way to the cookie sheet. You can hear her actually mmmmmming as she eats the chocolate chip cookie dough. You'll never guess what Abby wanted to use to help make cookies. We made sure that she was the one that got that cookie! After eating the dough, she wasn't too interesting in eating the finished cookie. We gave her one, but when I turned around it was no longer in her hand. Gus or Shaylie gobbled it up quickly. There was no evidence, but both dogs looked guilty.

Look what Mommy found!

I was browsing my photo library and came across Abby baptism photos. Look how small she was. This was Dec 21st, 2008! She was just over one year old. That cute little dress she has one is a size 24 months from Carters. She has always been tall for her age. That she gets from her daddy. What I remember the most is that while she was sitting on my lap like above, she hit her lip on the pew in front of her and her lip started bleeding and she of course started screaming in the middle of the ceremony. That's my Abby. Has to make sure every one knows she is here! Her godparents are my cousin Kimberly and Mike's sister Sarah. We ran into a paper filing issue because at least one of the god parents also had to be confirmed. Only one of our choices met that criteria. ThankS Kimmie!
