Chocolate Event

Abby had a busy weekend. It started with breakfast at Grandma Dee & Grandpa Ken's house. Then, Grandma Dee took her to the Glendale Chocolate Affair. Abby got to ride on a bus for the first time. It was also her first time in a moving vehicle without being in a car seat.

Once we got to the little festival, her grandma shared some Dippin Dots ice cream with her. She would make the cutest face as she realized it was cold and then would motion for more and go mmmm. We walked around and browsed the booths. She also had a bite of mom's Indian Fry Bread and her own cookies.

I think her favorite part was running around in the grass and banging on the sign while we waited for the bus to take us back to our car!

Then, on Sunday, Abby went shopping for some new shoes! Her feet are growing so fast! She got some new tennis shoes and some sandals. I'll post some pics later. She also is learning to color without eating the crayons. She does some great colorful lines in her coloring book. She wanted to color so bad that she carried her crayons and her book outside and in the car all the way to Grandma's house, about 25 minutes. That is determination for a 15 month old! I'll have to post pics of that later, too!

She has the cutest smile! She'll look at you and squint her eyes a little and then smile real wide showing all of her teeth. Every time I try to catch it on film, she either looks away or closes her eyes too fast. That is my goal...to get at least one pic of her cute (you might say 'cheesy') smile! Maybe I need to try getting it on video!

Love ya~ :D

Making Cookies with DeeDee

On Friday, Grandma DeeDee and Abby make cookies. Abby loved trying to scoop out the dough. Of course, her Mama showed her how much fun it is to eat the dough. As you can see, she thoroughly enjoyed licking the spoon on the way to the cookie sheet. You can hear her actually mmmmmming as she eats the chocolate chip cookie dough. You'll never guess what Abby wanted to use to help make cookies. We made sure that she was the one that got that cookie! After eating the dough, she wasn't too interesting in eating the finished cookie. We gave her one, but when I turned around it was no longer in her hand. Gus or Shaylie gobbled it up quickly. There was no evidence, but both dogs looked guilty.

Look what Mommy found!

I was browsing my photo library and came across Abby baptism photos. Look how small she was. This was Dec 21st, 2008! She was just over one year old. That cute little dress she has one is a size 24 months from Carters. She has always been tall for her age. That she gets from her daddy. What I remember the most is that while she was sitting on my lap like above, she hit her lip on the pew in front of her and her lip started bleeding and she of course started screaming in the middle of the ceremony. That's my Abby. Has to make sure every one knows she is here! Her godparents are my cousin Kimberly and Mike's sister Sarah. We ran into a paper filing issue because at least one of the god parents also had to be confirmed. Only one of our choices met that criteria. ThankS Kimmie!
