Abby Latest Adventure

Abby loves going to the park! Her favorite thing used to be the swings. This week she changed her mind. Now her favorite is playing with the sand. She enjoys getting two big handfulls and throwing it on the slide. over and over again. Here she is in action. Today, her Grandpa took her to the amusement park inside Encanto Park in Phoenix. It has lots of rides geared to kids ages 1 to 8, perfect for Abby! Her favorites were the carosel. She rode it 5 times! Twice with mom, once with dad, once with Grandpa and once with mom and dad. She also liked the helecopter ride. It went up and around in a circle. Her other favorite was the train. We went around two times! Here is grandpa showing Abby the train engine. After the park, Abby fell asleep and missed lunch at the restaurant. The park really tired her out!

Snow!

We decided to take Abby up to Raven's Point, Mike's family's cabin in Happy Jack, AZ to play in the snow. She didn't know what to think at first. She took a step or two and her feet sank in the crunchy snow. She did not like that she couldn't see her feet. Grandma Dee scooped up some snow for Abby to feel. She pulled her hand back so fast and then walked over to her Daddy to save her. It was too cute. We walked from the car up the road to the cabin which she didn't mind too much. She would walk a bit and then moan and reach for her Mom to pick her up. The snow on the roadway was hard enough to walk on without sinking in, so she did walk a ways. She was more interested in the random weeds than the snow. Overall, I'd say that Abby is not a fan of the snow. We'll have to try again when she is a bit older and it is powdery snow. Living in sunny AZ, we have that choice! LOL

Abby's 1st Haircut

Our little rag-a-muffin got her 1st haircut. Here is the before picture. She loved playing with all the toys in the waiting area of the kid salon. Here is the after picture! Isn't she just a doll?!?!? Grandpa Ken said that she was as cute as a pixie! I was worried that she would hate getting her hair cut, but she didn't care one bit. We did go to a place that only does kids hair. She got to sit in a car and watch Elmo while getting her hair done. Now that is a great idea! Yes, she is still teething. That finger is almost always in her mouth these days. She is working on some of her chewing teeth. She is up to 12 teeth now. Love ya :D
